Cerno Bioscience Signs Agreement With Lumiere Technology Ltd. To Distribute MassWorks In China
Danbury, CT - Cerno Bioscience announces a collaboration with Lumiere Technology Ltd, the international distributor of advanced laboratory analysis equipment. This agreement will see Lumiere Technology distributing Cerno Bioscience's award-winning MassWorks MS (mass spectrometry) data software in China.
Lumiere Technology Ltd. is founded and staffed by chemistry and biotechnology professionals with over 15 years' experience in the GC/MS and LC/MS business. Headquartered in Beijing and with a wide network of offices in key regions, such as Shanghai, Shenyang and Xi'an, the company is an ideal position to make the MassWorks product widely available to MS users across China. Lumiere Technology has also been representing Thermo Fisher Scientific (formerly Finnigan) MS product lines in China since 2001 which has become the largest MS and analytical equipment supplier in China.
At present, economical, user-friendly single and triple quadrupole MS systems are experiencing over 15% AGR (aggregate growth rate) in the Chinese marketplace. These instruments, however, are specified to provide only indistinct mass accuracy, lacking the high mass accuracy capability of a high resolution system for high fidelity compound identification. Cerno's award-winning MassWorks can improve the mass accuracy of single and triple quadrupole MS systems by up to 100x, significantly improving the ability to identity various compounds, at only a fraction of the investment for high resolution MS systems. By utilizing Lumiere Technology's widespread networking capability in China and their many years of expertise in the MS industry, Cerno can now offer the benefits of MassWorks to users in the Chinese biopharmaceutical and environmental sectors.
